15.7.21. After just three tries in A2 Supreme Odin (pictured) was downgraded to A3. You’d be forgiven for thinking that was rather lenient especially as Luigi came second in two of those A2 attempts but you’d be wrong!

We are so glad that he came out of today’s race unscathed. Six dogs in good form with good early pace has the potential for lots of first bend trouble. This was a race where it would take well under the 29 second barrier to win and was most likely a case of ‘what leads, wins.’ And so it proved. Luigi trapped well but still only turned third dog. He moved into second running a great second bend but could never quite get to the winner who led on the inside. As expected the winner clocked a very decent 28.68. Luigi also broke the 29 second barrier yet again – not bad for an A3 eh! A good A2 in all but name, there are some good dogs and tough grades at Monmore.
